Listening to GU10 is like turning the pages in an audio yearbook chronicling the evolution of dance/electronic music. Over the past decade, Global Underground has become one of the most easily recognizable names in the compilation game. They have been tremendously successful in this venture by holding to their original concept; showcase a sampling of sets played by a superstar DJ at an amazing club anywhere in the world. With each edition capturing its own point in time, creating a retrospective could have been both an easy and daunting task simply due to the monumental amount of viable choices to be included. After culling through the mountains of tracks, what has come out on the other side is an amazing retrospective covering the best of work from artists like, Underworld, LFO, Dark Globe, Hybrid, PQM, and many, many others. This collection works for the club, the crib, or the car... put it in, kick back, and relive some of the best nights out ever. -- review by Shawn Wallace
