One of the more striking things about "F*** Me I'm Famous International" is the album's ability to shift styles frequently, keeping things mixed up, and to do so smoothly. There's a modicum of eclecticism to this release that prevents the tracks from running on together endlessly, a blur of sameness. At the same time though, the variation in styles is not jarring or diverse to the point of inaccessibility to only the most open minded. And there's plenty of energy fueling these two CDs, making it a pretty good choice for your next dance party (if you can't afford a DJ, of course). There's a lot of trance influenced stuff here; electro rears its head more than once (and in fine style, too); more poppy club type music has a hand in; and house gets a word in edgewise here and there. "Same Man" by Tell West & DJ Delicious is a groovy, club-friendly dance track with plenty of pulse and texture and melody while "Tell Me Why" takes some retro and throws it into a big, bad trance spin. "World, Hold On (Children of the Sky) F*** Me I'm Famous Remix" from Bob Sinclair feat. Steve Edwards is also drenched in melody but brings it on with a dose of aggression. An infectious "5 in the Morning" by Richard F. feat. T. Wheeler rings like an emergency siren - in a good way. Copyright feat. Song Williamson brings on "He Is", a track that curiously blends gospel and house flavahs in a successful fusion. And the house-tinged, trance-touched "Transatlantic Flight Axwell Remix" by Lorraine is a solid track, too.
