"Those Things" is a sparkling dance CD. The sounds are bright, the hooks are catchy (as hooks damn well should be) and there's an awesome organic flavor rooted in with the electronic drive. House has rarely sounded this good. There's a huge retro taste presented in a post-modern take. Delicious funked out flavahs and doses of disco mingle happily with modern dance culture on this terrific batch of songs you can dance to, drive to or even groove to while kicking around the house. The various conventional style instrumentations that harken from the world of classic funk make nice partners with the house sound. If more DJs did this kind of work with house music, I'd have a greater appreciation of the overall genre. This is good stuff.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
