MADE GOLD PART ONE (MADE) |
| |

What "Made Gold Part One" lacks in dynamics it partially makes up for in energy and punch. The beats are big, the textures buzzing and the music on this comp could truly shake dance floors. It's a good CD. But I really have to lament the lack of dynamics and the repetition. The music herein has a tendency to charge in, all guns blazing ... then hit a plateau at which it hangs around for too long without dropping in some change ups or some nice progressive builds to climax. But nonetheless, the compilation is a quality one and has the heavy-hitting energy required to keep a dance floor motivated. So while it falls short of armchair raver standards it could still test the limits of a dance floor's capacity. -- review by Kristofer Upjohn
