DJ Hardware and Marcelo Castelli team up here - each gets a disc - to present the listener with a slight spin on house. The thing is, this release keeps the elements of house that are familiar to the genre's fans and which make it what it is, but these DJs bring in some tweaks with the tribal house sound that, to me, only offers depth often lacking in the house scene. Now, this is very much house, but it's house done right. And what these guys do to shake things up is to provide some subtle nuances to the house sound. Shifted rhythms that still align and run parallel with trad. house but have their own distinctive but not overbearing heartbeat - it's the layering and textured in multi-level stack of beats and melodies that create the special pulse here. And those textures and melodies offer more strength and presence than many offerings in the house realm. All told, this is a solid disc if you're in the house kinda mode. -- review by Kristofer Upjohn
