Grendel hits again with a release that demonstrates this artist's ability to blend abrasive aggro-industrial elements with its synthy melodic qualities. Hammering out fast-paced, high-energy electro-industrial that spans the gap between trancier stuff and darker, heavier music, "Harsh Generation" is an acerbic, unapologetically grim commentary on and confrontation with post-modern culture. A take-no-prisoners attitude, well-balanced mixing, pulsating beats and a sense of melody make Grendel's "Harsh Generation" a fine example of Metropolis Records' roster.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
