Food for your ears can be sexy! Just ask Miguel Migs. House can taste like a lot of things, and while there is a skeleton of house here, what you taste, what your ears savor, are the succulent flavors of funk and disco, revamped for the modern age. Dance styles meet across the space-time continuum. What your folks might have grooved to back in the day melds with what you enjoy shaking your booty to now. The disco-funk hooks are strong on "Those Things Remixed," an album that features 14 catchy remixes of tracks off Migs' '07 disc "Those Things." But whatever its pedigree, the salient facts are these: Disco dancing isn't always cool, at least for snobs who don't have a geek chromosome somewhere (my geek DNA is strong, thank you). But you don't have to be old or nerdy to dig this. All you have to do is like grooves.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
