"Nightmusic Vol. 3" balances its bent for current trends in trance - sleeker, more flattened and streamlined, yet not two-dimensional - with a bit of the full-bodiedness experienced in earlier stages of trance's evolution. Not as boisterous or ecstatically uplifting as the trance I cut my teeth on but more sublime instead, with subtler but no less heady expressions of melody, the music on this Thrillseekers release is a fusion of a sense of etherea and the wholeness of driven dance music. A platform for music bound for the sky and maybe even nirvana, "Nightmusic Vol. 3" has much in the way of allure and could even teach house a lesson. This is subtle, but not bland... subtle, I say, yet not. What I mean is that it is content to enter the backdoor of the emotions through the medium of one's mind.
