A spirited, more earthy (i.e. less techy-electricky) release from Putumayo, the title tells you everything you need to know about the CD. I mean everything! "Putumayo Presents Salsa!" So you know it's salsa music. And you know that since it's Putumayo, it's good stuff. Even if this isn't your favorite genre, if you feel feisty and want to dodge your typical tastes with some spice, this is as good a place as any to turn. And if you have been hiding in an isolation chamber for your whole life and don't know what salsa is - or at least have never really paid it much mind - then you can't go wrong with this intro. And, well, if you're a fan, then why wouldn't you want this in your collection? Zesty songs from Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia and elsewhere make for a great Latino-flavored fiesta with these ten party-starters. So dip your dancing chips in this salsa!
