Bedrock founder John Digweed unleashes a 3-disc slew of tracks that have helped define the personality of the renown Bedrock parties. Two of these discs are captivating remixes of now classic tracks while the third disc releases a batch of them in their pure-dee original form. "Past, Present and Future" is a bit of a late bloomer but once its momentum is moving, it doesn't let up. An elevating mix of house's profundity and trance's melodic appeal, this span of hook-laced tracks crumples your resistance with beat power, textural hypnosis and cumulus melodicism. My feelings on this release segued from "hmmmm, not bad" to a state of wowness as I was drawn, slowly but surely, into the delights offered on this whopping big smorgasborg of electronica.
