Strumming guitars, bum ba ba... "From Jamaica to the world, is this love?" Yes! The lyrics of this incredibly catchy hit single start with that question, then implore, "Be The Love Generation!" Bob Sinclar and singer Gary "Nesta" Pine from The Wailers have hit on something big here. It's an oddly summertime pop/dance tune for a December release, but that didn't stop it from being the theme song on December 9th when it was performed at the final draw ceremony for the rugby World Cup... oh and from selling 120,000 singles in its first two weeks of release in Europe!! It's the first single from from the upcoming (April 2006) US debut album by Parisian producer, Yellow Productions Recording owner and father of French House, Bob Sinclar. (Pronounced "San-Clar" like "car.") Now we don't usually review singles on this site, but this particular release is more than just a maxi CD. It comes with U-Mix-It software (for Windows 2000 or XP only), the six mixes of this single in an 8 track multi-track format, so you can mute or solo any track, add loops and effects, record additional vocals... its your own mash up waiting to happen! With remixes from Full Intention (high energy), Kenny Dope Gonzalez and more, there is lots to play with here. Or you can just sit back and let the mixes repeat until you find yourself whistling along... Be The Love Generation!
