BLUE STONE - BREATHE (NEURODISC)

Stylings like unto Amethystium, Enigma, Enya and Delerium gather in a nightwisp's dance on the lush, irresistible allure otherwise known as "Breathe," the new disc of achingly beautiful chillout tracks from Neurodisc artist Blue Stone. The music flows with cool-as-Isaac-Hayes smooth grooves (not that this is R&B, you understand, it's just that who's cooler than Isaac Hayes for my simile?) that hook you in effortlessly. The music is both weightless and three-dimensionally real. It makes you want to stop whatever you're doing and close your eyes, drift inside, because you know if you do, your body will float, your worries will cease and you might even find a home in the clouds. For as long as your CD player batteries last, anyway. It's almost sad simply because you wish life could flow eternally with the kind of beauty you can get during the running time of this gorgeous slice of downtempo spaciousness. The siren song of electronica. ---- Buy the full album as a download & listen to samples at iTunes.com-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
