Raised on Motown and Disco, but also having influences of Classic Rock and ‘70’s Soul, as well as a lot of AM Gold; His productions and re-mixes incorporate new millennium vibes w/the roots of his musical background, while his DJ’g is an energetic hot mix blend of the choicest House tunes from Deep Vocs to Tribal and Disco Filter to Big Anthems and of course the Classics and Future Classics!
Starting out during the golden age of Rap and Hip-Hop, he was later introduced to House music in ’89 by future friends and production partners The Torres Bros. As the silent partner and third brother of The Torres Bros. production team, he has been producing and re-mixing since ’93. While working with the Torres Bros., he acquired a long discography: the now defunct M.I.X. Records, Aqua Boogie Records, Waxhead Records, StreetBeat Records, Groovalicious, Whirling Records, Waako Records...and the list goes on.
CooLRoGRoX has now gone out on his own, producing and re-mixing his way to a solo career! Under the moniker of The L.I.M. Project presents…CooLRoG will be introducing many new and exciting things to the underground club scene, starting w/his first solo release on Nervous Records NYC: The L.I.M Project p/Rehc and Son. NYC hard house trax w/elements of tribal and techno as well as a surprising vocal sample that will opt a flashback to the ‘60’s. Also, just in time for WMC 2k4, will be his next solo release on Harlequin: the L.I.M. Project p/Chi-Ami (recently ranked #3 on Beatport’s Top Ten New Releases). A bright and upbeat EP that will have the ‘hands in the air’ and the ‘asses on the dance floor’!
2K5 and beyond looks to only get better for CooLRoGRoX as he has teamed up w/AD of Hitz Record Pool and Whirling Records fame to release the highly anticipated full-length album under the name of Lim-n-Ad.! His Big Feet 80’s Dub re-mix for the Jody V. track “Summing Up the People” f/Alan T (getting major support from DJ’s like Danny Tenaglia) is out now, in addition to the soon to be released follow-up Yaime Coxx 'andTheMuzik' on up-and-coming label Distant Drum Recordings. The Housenation Heavy Bass Dub re-mix for vocal Diva Rachel Panay, as well as a No Chains rmx of ‘Freedom’ and The Understand This Old School remix of ‘Brigher Day’ for The Undah-Dub, is just the tip of the iceberg...A distribution deal w/online giant Beatport and an affiliate deal w/TrackItDown.net for his new imprint DigitalVinylRecordings.com is the next exciting step in the continuing evolution of his career…So, be on the lookout for this future ‘HOUSE’-hold name.
