Something a little bit special is going
on in June at Herbal to celebrate the
2nd anniversary of samurai.fm, a
station that in less than 2 years has
become the standard for online
electronic music radio.
Audio custodians of downstairs is one
of the UK’s leading electronica labels
the glorious Accidental Records
hosting the main room with showcase
of it’s artists. Prescribed for your
evening will be Brooks’ special blend
of morphine house, dark beeps and
beats, an injection of Lazlo’s deep and
dirty dex n fx electechno and label
boss Raf to stitch it all together. One
of the best labels in the scene and well
accustomed to playing venues 5 times
the size don’t miss this chance to
catch the Accidental crew play the
intimate main room in Herbal.
Upstairs is going to be very tasty as we
welcome Break Reform’s Simon S to
celebrate the launch of their new
album ‘Reformation’. Following on
from 2003’s massive hit ‘Fractures’
the cross genre appeal of the album
gave Break Reform fans the world over
and the same can be said of his DJ
sets, music that’s hard to label but
very easy to get down to. Joining
Simon is Jon Kennedy from Grand
Central Records who also has reason
for celebration with the recent release
of his wonderful second artist album,
‘Useless Wooden toys’. Expect a cut
and paste set of crazy hopfunktro, big
beats, crazy noize, anything goes and
when Jon’s involved it always sounds
ace.
As with all samurai.fm Sessions sets
from the night will be recorded for
broadcast on the station a couple of
weeks after the party so clubbers will
be able to relive their favourite sets or
hear what they missed!
